The Charminar is a magnificent granite
edifice built on grand arches facing south, north, east and west. The
corner of each structure is a minaret and this has given the name
Charminar.
Each minar is on a lotus leaf base and this

from the roof of the Charminar.
Charminar is one of the important Andhra

the Golconda fort. Golla refers to a shepherd and Konda meant hill in

is said to belong to the Kakatiyas period and Golconda was a mud fort
originally.
This was handed over to the Bahmani
dynasty and then to the Qutub Shahis. However, they Qutub Shahis
rebuilt it in a span of 62 years. This fort is prominent for its
palaces, ingenious water supply system, factories and acoustics.

from Italy.

the Purani Haveli and the Paigah Tombs. Purani Haveli is based on
western architecture and is notable for the historical background. The
Paigah tombs are magnificent structures with geometrical designs and
