The culture of any tourist destination is very important as it is one of the basic factors for attracting tourists to any place. This rule applies even to Arunachal Pradesh.

The Arunachal Pradesh culture consists of 26 tribes and several sub tribes that live in as many as 3649 villages. The people of the region are the descendants of Mongolian origin.

But as a result of the passage of time, the tribes developed their own customs. This has produced the large ocean that is famous as the culture in Arunachal Pradesh. The native people are simple, hospitable as well as friendly.

The festivals are the depictions of the belief and faith of the people.The society in Arunachal Pradesh is patriarchal. Endogamy is followed and so is the rule of clan exogamy. Polygamy is sanctioned and is a regular practice in the state.

Apart from these, the Arunachal Pradesh culture is democratic. Each tribe has a special institution for the maintenance of law and order, welfare activities and also to decide disputes within the tribe.

The members who belong to these organizations are chosen by the people. The culture in Arunachal Pradesh is quite ancient and is still being guarded followed in the state.The Arunachal Pradesh culture is divided into three groups based on the socio-politico and religious affinities.

The tribes of Arunachal Pradesh are integrated into groups and live individual lives. The pattern of living is the same and they also follow identical occupations.

The societies are ruled by chiefs as well as adults and are not regarded based on caste. They are grouped for various social functions.

The young people are organized and are asked to adhere to the instructions of the elders. The culture of Arunachal Pradesh depends on the tribes and determining them on this basis is simple. The Arunachal Pradesh culture is tribe oriented.

They do not have any strict rules and regulations and follow the footsteps of the elder members. They are slowly becoming modern. Yet, their weddings are done as per their rituals though other negotiations go online.

The culture of Arunachal Pradesh is not very influential as they do not have any stringent norms. Their dances are also very simple and this also varies from one tribe to another and the dances are a part of their culture and are performed only during special occasions within the state. Mostly, it is devoted to Gods for well being of the community or for good yield in the fields.
