The Arunachal Pradesh weddings are
divided into customs followed by various tribes when it has to be
followed by the customs and laws that govern the marriage.
However, the weddings at Arunachal
Pradesh take place only within the tribe. They do not marry out of the
tribe. The marriage that takes place out of the tribe is considered as
a taboo.
Another significant thing about their
weddings is that exchange of rituals is not much such that it leads to
the preservation of the culture.
The society is patriarchal and
polygamy is entertained in certain tribes. But, mostly monogamy is
practiced by the tribes.
The weddings at Arunachal Pradesh are
different for every ethnic group and are usually a very simple affair.
