The sacrificing of animals also takes place in during the celebration of festivals. The various festivals provide a great feeling to the tourist as it brings about a lot of color in the state and this is loved by any tourist.

The Arunachal Pradesh festivals treat the Solung as its main festival and this festival is done to worship the goddess of wealth.

This festival is done for five days and animals are sacrificed. The tribes make arrows, bows as well as war weapons. It is celebrated for good crops and to be far from natural calamities and accidents.

Mopin-Adi is another festival of Arunachal Pradesh that is popular in the Gallong community and they do this to protect themselves from bad spirits as well as for wealth, prosperity, and wisdom.

People rejoice by dancing the Popir dance. This festival is held for five days before the sowing of paddy seeds.Arunachal Pradesh festivals are an essential part of the socio-cultural life of the people of this state.

As a fact, festivals of Arunachal Pradesh are the replica of their culture. As agriculture is the chief occupation, the festivals are based and celebrated in connection to their occupation.

Most of these festivals are done to thank the Gods for providence as well as for praying for bumper crops. You can see festivals celebrated the entire year by one or the other tribe.
