Religion is an inseparable part of life. Religion is also one of the oldest things in the world. To trace the origin of religion is not a very easy task as even prehistoric man believed in religion.

The Delhi temples are some of the best places to visit in the world. The various temples in Delhi exhibit the purity and the sincerity of the various religions that are followed in the city.

There are many tourists who visit the city due to the temples in the city. The Lotus temple is one of the most famous Delhi temples.

This temple is famous throughout the entire nation. This temple represents the strength of the Bahai religion. This temple was designed by Fariburz Sahba. This temple has been shaped like a lotus as louts is the symbol of purity.

The lotus also represents the number nine. This is the highest digit and also symbolizes unity in the Bahai religion. This temple in Delhi has nine pools to its side that represented the leaves of a lotus.

From a distance, this temples looks like a piece of art. This construction work of this temple ended in the year 1986.The temples in Delhi include the Birla Mandir that is erected in the Nagara style architecture mingled with contemporary influences.

The entire temple is festooned with carvings depicting the Indian mythology scenes. The construction is remarkable.

The temple is filled with artistic sculptures and the temple is on a high platform facing eastwards. The temple is dedicated to God Narayana and Goddess Lakshmi.

The other shrines are dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Shiva, Hanuman, Buddha and Vedas. The Delhi temples are important as they comprise the ancient legends.

The icons of the Birla Mandir are made in marble and the premises are in Kota stone.There is no dearth of Delhi temples as this is one of the oldest places in history.

The temples in Delhi include the Iskcon temple built by the Hare Rama Hare Krishna followers. This temple is embellished with beautiful paintings of Hindu deities. The Chhatrarpur Mandir is a popular Hindu temple and is far from the usual city crowd.

This temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and there are other shrines of Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesha and Lakshmi. The Bala Hanumanji temple is also an elegant temple and has acquired its name in the Guinness book owing to the Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram chanting that goes constantly for all the 24 hours.
