Goa Beaches in India

Goa beaches are very popular and people from far and wide visit Goa only to enjoy the beaches. The beaches in Goa re beautiful with dazzling stretches of glittering sand that is edging the aquamarine expanse of Arabian Sea.

The beaches are magnificent and you cannot walk away from it quickly. There are numerous beaches such that the tourists get confused which one to begin with.

The beaches of Calangute and Candolin are excellent and especially Calangute is a traveler’s cliché such that the tourists refer it as Queen of Goa beaches.

Baga is another beach towards the north and is more relaxed. Despite the intensity of resorts, beach huts, hotels, restaurants, bars and souvenir stalls, you can witness an amazing innocence here.

Goa beaches give the freshness of childhood. There are many streams gurgling through the land and the series of secluded beaches is really magnificent. The Colva as well as the Benaulim beaches are at a distance of two kilometers.

These are slow paced beaches, but are breathtakingly beautiful. The other important beaches are the Dona Paula beach, Chapora and Vagator beach. Among the various beaches in Goa, the Anjuna beach is a beautiful and the most admired beaches.

The soft white sand, the painted coconut palm trees is at a distance of 18km from Panaji, capital of Goa. This beach stretches to 30 km coastline.

The Baga beach is at Mapusa and is the most popular beaches. It is perfect, beautiful and far away from the city. Baga beach is sited on the Colva and Calanguate beach.

In fact, it is an extension of the Calanguate beach. The Goa beaches include the Benaulim beaches. This is quite popular marking the coastline of Arabian Sea.

The palm trees and the rich sun make a perfect destination. The beaches in Goa include the Bogmalo beach. This is a fresh, calm and idyllic destination for a beach vacation.

This beach is suitable for swimming as the water is safe. The beaches in Goa comprise of the Colva, Dona Paula, Miramar, Candolim and Palolem beaches.

The Colva beach is a picturesque beach that is less packed and ideal for relaxing. Dona Paula is a romantic beach and is also known as ‘Lovers Paradise’.

There is a story that a Viceroy in colonial times had a daughter, Dona Paula who wished to marry a fisherman, Gaspar, but the Viceroy denied it and his daughter threw herself from the cliff. Miramar beach is a breathtaking beautiful beach close to Panji.

You can view the sunset. However, swimming here is not recommended due to strong undercurrent. Goa beaches include Candolim and Palolem beach, which are ideal for relaxing, yoga and meditation and it ambience is perfect for pleasure.
