Haryana is a rich state with its opulent culture and tradition. This has lead to many monuments in Haryana as the reminiscences of great rulers.

The tomb of Ibrahim Lodi in Panipat is one of the Haryana monuments that were constructed in Panipat.

Ibrahim Lodi in 1526 was the Delhi sultan and was killed with Babar in a battle.

His tomb is in a rectangular block shape and is built using Lakhori bricks. This tomb was renovated in the British rule.

Chachhrauli is a petite town in the Haryana state adjacent to Karnal. This was the capital of 562 princely states of India.

The Haryana state has forts, palaces as well as samadhis of many ruling families that speak regarding the lost glory in Haryana.

Haryana monuments include the forts and palaces that have now transformed into several government offices. Monuments in Haryana consider the Star monument Bhiwani. This building is truly breathtaking and is sited in the Bhawani complex nearly 12kms far from Bhiwani.

This is a hexagonal pyramid with sides in star shapes. The alternative sides are in white marble and the others are in Italian glass. The Star monument is designed such that there are no pillars to support.

The monument premise is well decorated with numerous stars and decorative items.

The construction is highly sophisticated and is a mix of traditional as well as modern equipments and techniques.

Monuments in Haryana comprise of a throne room, a treasury and few reception rooms of the Kalsia Raja who built a sprawling fort.

The fort was well painted using murals and the artists painted the fort with birds, flowers, scenes of the Indian Kings and to a very great extent the modern views of trains, railway stations and churches.

The mural painters had actually not even seen the railway bridges or churches; they based their talents on the illustrations from magazines and books.

The Haryana monuments are significant as the Kalsia family gave the fort in charity to the Chachhrauli town in 1940. The Haryana monuments are considered notable the fort consists of law courts, municipal offices and schools.

The fort came to life with the voice of children and office chaos besides legal battles. The monuments in Haryana were in a good state till some time. However, the mural paintings are slowly being lost and the collapse of the Chachhrauli fort is taking away the history of India to a small extent.
