There are numerous famous temples in the Haryana state. There are many significant temples such as the Bhawani Amba temple. This is located in the Ambala city and is one of the ancient temples. This temple has witnessed the history of this city since the birth of Ambala.

The temples of this state are unique and each of these temples has a different legend associated to them. The stories are interesting as well as informative. The Haryana temples include Sheetla Devi temple and is called as Shakti Peeth and presiding is the Goddess Shakti.

The temples in Haryana are mainly prominent as they are the symbols of heritage and culture.

Mansa Devi temple is sited in Panchkula in the Haryana state and as per Hindu scriptures; it is believed that the Devi Sati’s head had fallen in this place.

The Shiva temple at Saketri is near Mansa Devi temple and numerous devotees pay a visit to this temple on the Shivaratri day to receive blessings from Lord Shiva.

The temples in Haryana also include Chandi Mandir dedicated to goddess Chandi. This goddess derived its name as it is sited on the Chandigarh Kalka road.

This temple is worshipped as Siddh Peeth and is believed to be a place of wishes being granted.

The Haryana temples also has some more significant temples such as the Bhima Devi temple, well known for its Panchayatan architecture style, Jayanti Devi temple sited on the Jayanti river enveloped by Shivalik hills. Pilgrims from far and wide come to visit these temples with great devotion. Some of the significant temples are Bhawani Amba temple, Sheesh Mahal, Bishnoi Mandir, Bhuteshvara temple, Kali Mata Mandir, Brick temples, Jayanti Devi temple and Jain temples.
