Haryana Pilgrimage

Kurukshetra is a holy pilgrimage in Haryana that has 360 visiting places entirely related to the Mahabharata. It is the holy towns that have the Lord Krishna’s footsteps as the imprint.

The Haryana pilgrimage is visited as it holds the past rich tradition and especially, Kurukshetra had an 18 day battle between Pandavas and Kauravas.

Lord Krishna played an enigmatic part in the epic Mahabharata and is well know even today among the Hindus. Kurukshetra is the most visited place as it is on the Delhi Ambala stretch.

This temple is situated adjacent to a pond at Gurgaon village. This temple is flocked by devotees in huge numbers the whole year. As this temple is referred as Shakti Peeth, the pilgrimage in Haryana is always gaining impetus of tourists.

Thousands of pilgrims paying visit to this temple come during the March and April months. An intense scuttle of pilgrims on Mondays during these months can be witnessed.The Haryana pilgrimage refers Sheetla Devi and this Goddess is considered with great devotion.

The word Sheetla meant smallpox and is believed that this deity dispels the disease when invoked.

The pilgrimage in Haryana is viewed as important among the married couples as they come to seek blessings for a happy wedded life from the goddess.

This goddess is carved of alloy and is gold polished which truly gives a dazzling effect. The infrastructure of this temple is really notable.

The facilities in this temple are numerous and many religious as well as yoga and meditation programs are held.

Mansa Devi temple is sited in Bilaspur village. There are two temples and the Mansa Devi temple is a symbol of faith and Himalayan culture.

Himalaya is viewed as the abode of Shiva. The present temples represent an exciting past and stand as a witness. This makes pilgrimage in Haryana more interesting. The Mansa Devi is worshipped as Saraswati and Lakshmi by the devotees. She is very beautifully decorated with ornaments.

The temples in many places make great Haryana pilgrimage as they are contrast to the environment and manifest the Moghul architecture representing it by minarets and domes and moreover the architecture of each temple speaks its glory in silence making the viewers gaze dumbstruck.
