The education in Madhya Pradesh is
well developed and has a good recognition.
The over all school levels Madhya
Pradesh education is categorized into three stages namely, primary,
middle and high school. Madhya Pradesh has 12 state Universities and
has schools for various other faculties such as polytechnics, music,
industrial arts and crafts, etc.
It is observed that more than 1/3rd of
the Madhya Pradesh population is educated. The Madhya Pradesh schools

Schools are affiliated with state or
secondary or CBSE or ICSE boards of education. The state government
schools use Hindi as medium of instruction, while the CBSE and ICSE
medium of study is English.
The government has granted free and
compulsory education in Madhya Pradesh to children up to age 14. The
state has a uniform structure of education 10+2 system and the high
school comprises of VIII to X and higher secondary comprises of XI-XII.
The government of Madhya Pradesh education
system is taking measures to revamp the education system and the state
has observed tremendous success recently as the literacy rate as per
2001 is 64.11%.
The education in Madhya Pradesh does not
compromise anywhere as it has 13 state universities, 8 medical
colleges, 3 deemed universities and many engineering as well as
