Indore and Gwalior have milk based preparations. The Madhya Pradesh food especially in Bhopal comprises of exquisite meat and fish preparations such as the spicy rogan josh, luscious keema, biryani, kababs, delicious korma, and many more are legendary.

All these food of Madhya Pradesh are extremely rich, creamy and spicy. The Bafla is wheat cakes dipped in ghee and are eaten with daal and this sharpness is moderated with sweet ladoos.

Lassi (buttermilk) and sugarcane juice are the favorite drinks and fine rum and excellent beer is produced from sugarcane juice and is liked by many tourists.
