The Chowpatty Beach that is present at the end of Marine Drive is one of the most famous Maharashtra beaches. This beach is also the spot where several Hindu ceremonies take place. One example is the annual thread tying that initiates young boys to the Brahmin caste.

There are several stalls on the beach that sell eatables. There is also the Kihim that is located in the Raigad district. This is one of the most eminent beaches in Maharashtra and is 120 kilometers from Mumbai.

There is a facility called ‘Tent Holiday’ and also a ferry to Rewas from the beach. The Dahanu-Bordi beach is also one of the famous beaches in Maharashtra.

It lies along the northern direction towards Gujarat. The entire beach has an enchanting backdrop of orchards.

The water of this beach does not rise more than the waist level of any person for half a kilometer. Another important beach among the several Maharashtra beaches is Ganapatipule.

This beach is in the Ratnagiri district. It is known for its calm nature. The beach is also famous as a tourist center. There is a beautiful temple that is near this scenic beach. The Marve beach is also a phenomenal place to visit.It is a tiny beach situated right in the city.

The beaches of Gorai and Manori are close to this beach. These beaches are always the favorite spots for picnicking. Another renowned Maharashtra beach is the Madh Island beach. This beach is dotted with bungalows.

This beach is the spot where beach parties are held. The various beaches in Maharashtra are a treat to the very experience of tourism as they minister to the need of rejuvenating the spirit and also the heart of the tourists who visit these beaches.
