All these places are great place to visit. There are also the dances of the state like “Chhow”,”Samblapuri”, “Paraja” and “Ghumura”.

The culture of Orissa also includes the forms of theatre such as “Dhanuyatra” and “Prahalad-Nataka”. These forms of art leave the audience absolutely captivated by their magical nature. The Orissa culture also compromises of fairs such as “Bali Jatra”.

This is festival held to remind the people about an ancient trade relation that formerly existed. Another famous festival is “Rathyatra” held in honor of Lord Jagannath.The lifestyle and people of Orissa are a confluence of streams that keep the state leaving their imprints thereby affecting the life style to a great extent.

The historians believe that Aryans imposed their language as well as culture in Orissa. However, all the people were not subjugated culturally and probably it was a cultural and racial combination.

Orissa is on the coastal corridor and hence the culture of Orissa has an assimilation of races as well as culture of Dravidians and Aryans.

The successive cultural and racial tides have surged up from various sides and have broken the indo cultural synthesis. The Orissa culture hence shows a blend of rituals.

The Orissa culture has been retained from the early civilization in the pristine form such that the traditional values are kept alive.

The culture of Orissa is not a complex one and hence one glimpse of the daily happenings gives a clear idea of their activities. The benign villages are innocent and the modern society is quite stressed and strained.
