The Punjab art and culture include woodwork. They are skilful in making artistic and comfortable beds with mirrors and low seats. Their indigenous clay toys reflect the inherent sensibility and beauty. They are deft in making clay items such as Ghara, Surahi, jars, dishes, etc.

The art and culture of Punjab includes the traditional Mud wall painting. This was earlier done to prevent aura of evil spirits and even today on festive days numerous mud wall paintings are done to invoke blessings of God and Goddess.

Metal work and Hand work is another very significant art of Punjab. Hand work was done using dyes from plants, stones and vegetables. Though traditional patterns have changed considerably, yet people prefer hand work items to a great extent.
