India is vast country with diverse languages and so every region or the other has something typical to bestow in clothes or in food or in dance and art or tradition and culture.

The food in Punjab is heavy identical to their style of working. Punjab is the land of honey and milk.

It boasts of robust climate such that the agricultural revolution reaps rich dividends.

This is a land of plenty and keeps with the zeitgeist and the Punjab food caters the typical feature of this land meeting the characteristic needs of several people.

The food in Punjab is not subtle in flavor as there is no inclusion of exotic sauces or intricate marinades.

However, it is full of masalas, a variety of spices cooked liberally with clarified butter. This Punjab food is served with liberal helping of cream or butter. The milk products and milk are one of the vital parts of daily cookery.

Curds and buttermilk are an important concomitant associated with every meal in Punjab. The wheat eaters are predominant in Punjab and rice is cooked only during special occasions.

Rice is eaten by flavoring it with cumin or with rajma or kadhi. In winters, rice is prepared using jaggery or peas.

They never eat plain rice.Punjab food is completely different in the style and flavor.For instance, people in Amritsar prefer stuffed paranthas fried and milk sweets.

The Doaba region people eat more and the Malwa region people eat more of Bajra Khichady.

There are certain dishes that a part and parcel of this state, Punjab.The food in Punjab conjures rich flavor.

Certain foods such as Mah ki Dal, Makkee Ki Roti, Sarson ka Saag, and meat curries such as Roghan Josh with stuffed paranthas are exceptionally found only in Punjab.

The food in Punjab is suitable for burning a lot of calories as they work in the fields and till their land and do all the hard work by themselves. The urban folks are satisfied with one dish as the city life is sedentary. The Punjab food is recognized by the masala as every Punjabi dish contains, garlic, onion, ginger and lots of tomatoes and pure ghee.

Their average meal every day comprises of Stuffed Alloo Matar and a glass of buttermilk for breakfast, Makki ki Roti is eaten with onion chutney and Sarson a saag for Lunch and the Dinner is Mah ki Dal, Tandoori Roti, Bhunna Ghost and Dahi Raita.
