is also known as the camel city of Rajasthan. Bikaner is a desert
country and the routes are one of the ancient caravan routes.
The city of Rajasthan, especially Bikaner
was a flourishing centre of trade during the medieval period. The son
of Rao Jodhaji, Bikaji founded a desolate land called Jangladesh and
slowly transformed this land into Bikaner, an impressive city.
This city acquired its name from Bikaji. The
other Rajasthan cities are Alwar, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Mt.Abu, Bundi,
Pushkar, Ranthambore, Shekhawati, Ranakpur, Chittaurgarh and Sariska.
