Rajasthan being a desert land is not
deserted in education. The people living in Rajasthan have great regard
for the education in Rajasthan and highly value Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan government actively
encourages people staying in Rajasthan to send their wards to school
and the schools in Rajasthan impart good education.
Apart from this, Rajasthan education
stresses on female education to a great extent. There are various forms

known by the name Rajasthanis. One such scheme is ‘Aap Ki Beti’ that
offers subsidized education as well as uniforms to a female child
coming from impoverished families.

The Sarva Shiksha and the Zila Prathamik
Shiksha schemes underline the importance and the need of primary
education in Rajasthan. This has brought awareness in the people living
in this state and they have started turning towards education.
The education scene is showing apparent
changes frequently and owing to this initiatives are taken by other
institutions as well as the Government in offering the best education.
For offering educational services, staffing of students is done in
schools, promoting education and various policies are being

A surge in the literary rate is
apparent in the recent ten years and the rate has increased from 38% to
61%. The state aims in attaining a significant percentage in the near
future.
The Rajasthan education offers free
primary education and this is mandatory for all the children living in

The system of education in Rajasthan
comprises of nine universities and two hundred and fifty colleges,
seven thousand four hundred secondary schools and fifty five thousand
primary schools.
The results of the Rajasthan
University are published in the last two months of the year. This state
has 41 engineering colleges with nearly 11500 students. There are 23
polytechnics and 152 ITIs.

These colleges also impart vocational
training. The Rajasthan technical board of education is in Jodhpur and
imparts technical education. The Rajasthan education is not lagging
behind in any of the fields of education.
The IIT at Jaipur is a recent set up and
belongs to the Ispat group. This institution offers technical education
in the IT field as well as in Electronics, communication and various
other emerging technologies. The network of the Rajasthan education
institutes has created a pool of qualified and expert professionals.
The medical institutes are well facilitated
and the state has 8 medical colleges. The education in Rajasthan is
enhancing and promoting education by introducing more faculties.
