festival held on 14th January on Makar Sankranti day. You can see
people participating regardless of their ages. The kites reverberates
the rooftops and are accompanied by drums.
The Air force helicopters release kites and
school children release balloons and the entire sky shimmers with this
charisma. The final day is of the fighter competition of the kites and
prizes are distributed. The Rajasthan festivals include the Kajli Teej
and Marwar festival.
The Teej festival is also popular as
‘Festival of swings’ where women swing on the branches of trees where
they tie swings and the Mewar festival takes place in Udaipur.
