The tourism industry as made its growth in huge leaps and bounds. There are several tourists who visit this state from all over the world.

This is because the land has plenty of attractions to visit. Apart from this, the state has abundant natural beauty.

Uttarakhand tourism also offers facilities such as mountaineering, rafting and other such adventurous activities.

Apart from these, the ‘Char Dhams’ always draw a lot of tourists. These temples are always a major part of tourism of Uttarakhand as innumerable people visit these temples in search of salvation.

There are also amenities that are offered to sustain and increase the numbers of tourists.

Uttarakhand has several national parks that the tourists can visit if they desire to spend their time with nature. The Jim Corbett National Park is situated in this state. This is the first national park to be established in the state of Uttarakhand. A part of Uttarakhand tourism is derived from these national sanctuaries.

The other sanctuaries are the Nanda Devi National Park, Rajaji National Park, Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, Gangotri National Park and the Valley of Flowers National Parks also contributes their part to the ever growing tourism in Uttarakhand. There are tourists who come to this state who come to this state for other reasons as well.

The Uttarakhand tourism includes Almora, a scenic mountain resort. The sunrise is beautiful amidst the Himalayas and is known as a town of temples.

This place is popular for its climate. The temples are the main intention of pilgrims for centuries and any Hindu does not miss a chance of visiting these temples once in lifetime.

This is done to attain salvation. The tourism in Uttarakhand is famous for mainly temples such as Kedarnath, the Shiva temple.

The mythology identifies this temple with the bull rump and is believed as a form of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Pandavas built this temple.

The Corbett National park is a large wildlife sanctuary and is a haunt for tourists as well as wildlife lovers.

The tourism in Uttarakhand, especially the Corbett Park gives an opportunity to view the splendid landscape as well as the diverse wildlife here. The Uttarakhand tourism comprises some of the old cities, Dehradun. This city has beautiful rest houses as well as hotels to accommodate the tourists. Dehradun has the best educational centers.

Gangotri is also one of god manifested place that a devout Hindu would never miss visiting. Yamunotri, Rishikesh and Hardwar are also important and are must visit places. The tourism is in great demand as Mussoorie, Nainital and Ranikhet are some of the places with salubrious climate dotted with lakes and has its virginity and pristine charm preserved.
